Norman Mapeza Takes Over at Scottland FC

Norman Mapeza has been unveiled as the new head coach of PSL champions Scottland FC. The announcement was made on Thursday, mere hours after the club parted ways with title-winning coach Tonderai Ndiraya.

Mapeza, who recently ended a decade-long, trophy-filled association with FC Platinum signed a two-year contract with Scottland. The move marks the beginning of a new chapter for the ambitious Harare club.

On 23 November 2025, FC Platinum officially confirmed Mapeza’s exit after 360 matches in charge. His departure closed one of the most successful coaching eras in Zimbabwean club football. Under his leadership, FC Platinum claimed three Premier Soccer League titles and three Castle Challenge Cups, and set a standard for excellence in discipline and performance.

His exit had sparked rumours he might join other clubs, including newly promoted Hardrock FC, but Scottland swiftly sealed the deal.

Mapeza arrives with a rich resume and continental pedigree, having guided teams into the group stages of the CAF Champions League on multiple occasions. That experience is seen as critical as Scottland prepares for their own debut continental campaign. For Scottland, who clinched the PSL title under Ndiraya, the move signals ambition: a desire to build on domestic success and push for broader recognition on the African club scene.
