Navaya Crowned 2025 Soccer Star of the Year

Last night at the 2025 Castle Lager Soccer Stars Awards, TelOne striker Washington Navaya dominated the spotlight while newly crowned champions Scottland FC — led by club president Scott Sakupwanya, officially received the newly branded Castle Premier Soccer League trophy after winning the title in their debut season. Dynamos also handed over the Chibuku Super Cup after completing an incredible three-year reign.

Navaya was named the 2025 Soccer Star of the Year following a stellar campaign in which he scored 17 goals, a tally that also secured him the Golden Boot.Scottland FC’s reliable defender Kevin Moyo finished as first runner-up, with Simba Bhora’s Emmanuel Ziocha taking the second runner-up spot.

Scottland’s success continued on the night as head coach Tonderai Ndiraya was voted Coach of the Year for the second straight season.

The Emirates FA Cup fifth round draw has been made for the 2025-26 season, with the eight ties to be scheduled for the weekend of 7-8 March 2026.

Taking place ahead of Monday evening’s tie between Macclesfield and Brentford, the draw was made by Joe Cole and Karen Carney as clubs look to seal a place in the quarter-final.

Winning clubs in the fifth round will receive £238,500 from the competition prize fund for the 2025-26 season.

The final schedule for the fifth round will be confirmed in due course, following talks with clubs, broadcast partners and local authorities.
