Alejandro Garnacho is delighted for Marcus Rashford after he became the first Manchester United exile to escape the club this summer. Rashford completed his loan move to Barcelona on Wednesday, who have the option to sign him permanently, meaning his time at United may have come to an end.

The 27-year-old has not played for United since December, having fallen out with Ruben Amorim, and joins Barca following a loan spell at Aston Villa.

While Rashford’s move is only a season-long loan, Barca have the option to make it permanent for €30million (£26m).

He is delighted to have sealed his dream move to Spain and fellow outcast Garnacho clearly feels the same. Writing underneath one of Rashford’s many Instagram posts on Wednesday, the Argentina international said: “Lets goooooo” with two saluting emojis.

The Emirates FA Cup fifth round draw has been made for the 2025-26 season, with the eight ties to be scheduled for the weekend of 7-8 March 2026.

Taking place ahead of Monday evening’s tie between Macclesfield and Brentford, the draw was made by Joe Cole and Karen Carney as clubs look to seal a place in the quarter-final.

Winning clubs in the fifth round will receive £238,500 from the competition prize fund for the 2025-26 season.

The final schedule for the fifth round will be confirmed in due course, following talks with clubs, broadcast partners and local authorities.
