CAPS United this morning unveiled Takesure Chiragwi as their new head coach during a press conference held at Harare Sports Club at 9AM. Club president Farai Jere was in attendance as the Green Machine outlined their technical and squad plans ahead of the 2026 season.

Chiragwi takes over the reins after an impressive spell at Ngezi Platinum Stars, and he will be assisted by Zambian Ian Bakala, who led CAPS United during the previous campaign. Bakala has been reassigned to the role of assistant coach.

Former Warriors midfielder Tinashe “The General” Nengomasha is also expected to join the setup as team manager, reuniting with Chiragwi following their time together at Ngezi Platinum.

CAPS United have wasted no time in boosting their squad, confirming several key signings. The club has secured the services of Nyasha Gurende from Ngezi Platinum, Davison Marowa from FC Platinum, Talent Chamboko, and Richard Hachiro, also from Ngezi Platinum.

The Green Machine have further strengthened their attack with striker Obriel Chirinda, while goalkeeper Wallace Magalane arrives from FC Platinum to bolster the goalkeeping department.
