Out of the 51 points that were at stake after 17 games it is FC Platinum currently leading the title race with 44 points while returnees Mutare City Rovers anchor the ZPSL Log table.
Ngezi Platinum follows closely on 38 points, six points shy of log leaders FC Platinum.
To date, a total of 329 goal have been celebrated across the country and Shabanie Mine’s David Temwanjira lead the Golden Boot race with 9 goals. CAPS United’s John Zhuwawu is following closely on 8 together with Ngezi Platinum’s Terrence Dzvukamanja.
Temwanjira is however set to make the switch to ZPC Kariba during the mid-season transfer window.
Ngezi Platinum and FC Platinum have the highest number of goals having scored 28 and 27 respectively to underline their proficiency in front of goal.
Despite scoring 17 goals, Shabanie Mine FC has the most porous defense and has conceded 29 goals in 17 matches.
Unsurprisingly, it is the log leaders FC Platinum who have won the most games this season. The Zvishavane based outfit has won 14, drew 2 and lost just once.
On the other hand, Mutare City occupy the negative end with only two wins, 5 draws and 10 losses, a development that has ensured the Manicaland based side anchor the log after 17 games.
Shabanie Mine has the highest draws (8) and Bulawayo City has the highest number of losses (11).
The second round leg matches are expected to resume the first weekend of July and the mid-season transfer window will open on July 1 up to July 31.
