Dembare, Bosso Cash In At Legends Match

The country’s flagship clubs Dynamos and Highlanders pocketed home a combined amount of more than $60 000 in appearance fees as curtain raisers for the much hyped Warriors Legends vs World Class Legends match.

The Harare giants drew one all with their Bulawayo counterparts in regulation time before the former eventually succumbed to a 3-2 defeat in the penalty lottery.

But both sides left with rich pockets though, as Dynamos received $23 750 as their losing bonus while the winners of the curtain-raiser Highlanders walked away with $38 750.

In addition to that, players from both clubs pocketed a cool $300 each as appearance fees.

With the on-going cash crisis at the local clubs, the two giants received a timely cushioning and might use the funds to fully prepare for the second round of matches at the current PSL break.

To add icing on the already yummy cake, Dynamos and Highlanders technical teams will be rewarded with a ten day trip to Real Madrid FC and Barcelona FC respectively.

The development was confirmed by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority CEO Mr Karikoga Kaseke.

“We spoke with the World Class Legends chief executive officer Rayco Garcia and he pledged that the Highlanders and Dynamos technical teams, comprising the coach, team manager and the assistant coach, are going to Spain for ten days,’’ Kaseke said.

’Dynamos will be attached at Real Madrid and Highlanders will be attached for ten days at Barcelona.

“They are offering these technical teams an opportunity to upgrade their skills through training with the best two teams in the world,”Kaseke added.
