Zimbabwe Volleyball National League Play-Off Results

It was a busy weekend for second-tier Zimbabwean volleyball teams as they battled it out at the National League Play-Offs.

The Play-Offs were held in both the men and the women’s category to determine who would climb into the top-tier of the local volleyball league known as the Zimbabwe Volleyball National League.

In the men’s category 6 teams participated in the play-offs and these were namely Black Rhinos, Highlanders, NUST, Parrots, Hurricanes and Chinhoyi University of Technology.

Out of those teams, Black Rhinos emerged victorious, beating NUST 3-1 in the final.

On the other hand, in the ladies’ category there were 3 teams vying for the top spot in the form of the Hurricanes, Parrots and Chinhoyi University of Technology.

The Hurricanes were eventual winners in that category.

In the men’s category, four teams out of the six that were involved in the Play-Offs made it through to the National League.

However, in the women’s division, all the four teams qualified to the top-tier league.

These teams will now be joining the teams that were already in the top four at the end of the league in 2017.
