Harare South Dairibord have been crowned winners of the Castle Lager 5-a-side tournament and will now go on to represent the nation in Zambia.

The curtain closed on the 14 team Castle Lager 5-aside tournament with Harare South Dairiboard emerging victorious on the day to claim the Castle Lager trophy.
The tournament, which began on Saturday, drew teams from all over the nation with the top performing four teams after playing round robin matches going on to be seeded on Sunday, to play in the semi-finals.
From Saturday’s action, the teams that qualified to the semi-finals were Harare North Titans, Harare South ZRP, Matabeleland Walle and Harare South Dairibord.
And on Sunday, in the semi-finals encounter, Harare North Titans beat Harare South ZRP 12 – 5, to set up a final with Harare South Dairibord who defeated Matabeleland Walle 9 – 3.
In a pulsating final that lived up to its billing and captivated the lively crowd, Harare South Dairibord emerged victorious over Harare North Titans as they edged their opponents 4-3 to lift the trophy and earn the honour of representing Zimbabwe in the next phase of the tournament in Zambia.
Dairibord will now represent Zimbabwe, who will join countries such as South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland and Tanzania and the hosts, Zambia in the regional tournament at the end of this month.
The resulting winning team from that tournament will get an all-expenses paid trip to watch the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
