The Premier Soccer League has summoned Mutare City Rovers FC to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee following violent conduct towards match officials and vandalism of property by the club officials at a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played between Mutare City Rovers FC and FC Platinum at Vengere Stadium on Saturday 28 April 2018.

The club is being charged for breaching Order 31 of the PSL Rules and Regulation which states that it is an Act of Misconduct on the part of the Club where;
31.1.15 It fails to protect match officials against acts, attempted acts of violence or any other form of abuse before, during or after a match.
Further, Mutare City Rovers FC team captain Themba Ndlovu has also been summoned to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee for use of offensive and abusive language towards match officials during the Mutare City Rovers FC v FC Platinum match.
Order 31 of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Rules and Regulations makes it an Act of Misconduct on the part of a player who;
31.2.9 Assaults, threaten, intimidates, coerces, interferes, misleads or insults a match official, player, official of the league, public, press or media, or any other person, before during or after a match
