The former Dynamos coach has expressed delight at his side’s preparations ahead of their visit to Chiredzi in the second match of the 2018 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
“We had a great week of preparations, we are fortunate to have all our players available except for Steven Owusu, our Ghanian international who is still holed up in Ghana awaiting work permit,” said Ndiraya.
“Our key players who were absent last week due to injuries are also back in training chief among them Frank Makarati, the defender that we acquired from Howe Mine, Terence Mukamanja who was also one of our top performers from last week is also back. We also have Michael Charamba who was also on the injury list but he has also recovered.”
Ngezi Platinum finished strongly last season, with the high spending side in the title picture for much of last season, before finishing in third place.
They have followed that up this season with a bright start to their campaign by beating newcomers Herentals FC 2-0 in their first match of the 2018 season.
And Ndiraya has added that his side are aiming for top honors this season, with the gaffer claiming that he has a stronger squad this year to achieve greater league success.
“We have prepared our side (for the Triangle visit), it’s going to be difficult as we are away but I believe we have a better squad than last season and we are hoping to go further in the league.”
However, he was quick to acknowledge that Triangle will be a tough side to beat at home but remained optimistic of getting a result.
“We are playing a very good side which is coached by Taurai Mangwiro who is one of the best coaches in the league so we are expecting a tough match but we are also expecting a good result at the same time.”
