Swimmers Ready for National Champs

Zimbabwe’s top swimmers are set battle it out at the Senior National Championships to be held at City pool in Bulawayo.

The four day tournament is scheduled to run 16th to 20 this month.

Zimbabwe’s top junior swimmers, in races ranging from U12 to 17&Over, have been able to break records and achieve some personal bests in the championships which are being impressively and efficiently run by ZAU. At least 175 athletes are expected participate at the tourney.

“All in place for swimming championships .We are expecting a lot of athletes from around the country’s provinces.
“Prepartions are all good and i can safely say we are ready to go .”

Kloppers said the event to expose a larger number of younger swimmers to national level swimming.

Zimbabwe swimming chairperson Tracy Doorman expressed satisfaction towards the current progress at the venue.

“Yes all is in place now and the athletes are excited and i would like to thank our sponsors who provided us with medals for the event .Hammer and tongues are the only sponsors,”she said .
