According to ZIFA statement issued via its website, only three agents have registered with the local football mother board- Gibson Mahachi, Cousin Zilala and Gerald Maguranyanga, while prominent agent George Deda is yet to register with the association.
Deda manages a signficant number of PSL players notably Denis Dauda, Method Mwanjali, Cabby Kamhapa among others.
“The Zimbabwe Football Association reminds all football clubs, players and other stakeholders to exclusively enlist services of accredited intermediaries in negotiating transfer deals.
As of 2018, only three individuals have been accredited by ZIFA to act on behalf of players and/or clubs in negotiating transfers:
Gibson Mahachi, Cousin Zilala, Gerald Maguranyanga.
Only the three intermediaries undertook to abide by FIFA and ZIFA’s regulations on working with intermediaries and they were duly accredited to conduct transfer deals within the country.
Clubs are advised to desist from engaging services of match organisers who have not been registered and approved to do so.
No organisation or individual in Zimbabwe has been accredited by ZIFA, CAF or FIFA to organise or negotiate staging of matches on behalf of football clubs,” read the statement on Zifa Website.
