Dynamos set for Masvingo Pirates clash

Masvingo –  All roads will lead to Mucheke Stadium on the 4th of February as the Glamour Boys are set to revive the spirit of football at Mucheke Stadium after along time the grounds last tasted the feel of PSL soccer boots.

Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League giants, Dynamos are set to play Masvingo based team, Masvingo Pirates, in a match aimed at raising funds for the local youths through Zimbabwe Youth Council registered organisation called Youth Empowerment Hub (YEH).

The funds will go a long way in assisting viable youth projects which are inadequate of working capital.

The Masvingo soccer fans received a major boost after Dynamos’ coach Lloyd Mutasa confirmed his team’s participation.

“We are going to take part in the fundraising dinner, we have already sent them our budget,” Mutasa confirmed.

This would present Dynamos’ technical team with an opportunity to assess their new acquisitions before the start of the season on the 10th March.

The organisers of the match said were grateful of the gesture exhibited by the most decorated team in the local professional football league, Dynamos.

“We wrote letters to different teams and Dynamos opted to come with the help from Eastern Region Admnistrator, Tedious Machawira. Dynamos will bring in a good number to the stadium and again it has been a
while since teams within the premier league used the ground.” said YEH Chief Executive Officer Nhlanhla Makiwa.

Makiwa also explained the principal purpose of such a highly profile match in the City of Masvingo.

“As a youth organisation we want to fund raise money for youths projects which are not only limited to agriculture, manufacturing and mining. There are already projects that have come forward and have been approved and other projects are still being submitted, said Makiwa.

The organising team has also extended its invitation to the Zimbabwe Football Association President, Phillip Chiyangwa who is currently out of the country on a long football international tour reported to end early April.

YEH was formed by a number of youths in 2017 in a bid to discover, train, implement and fund young people’s ideas as well to create a conducive business environment for them. To instill entrepreneurship and an innovation mindset in young people from early stages of life.

The organisation is also geared to advocate for financial freedom, financial independence to fellow youths through funding and entrepreneurial education. They want to engage the youths from  different levels of life, ability and background to cooperate with government initiatives and lastly to advocate and instill formal business culture and ethics amongst the youths.
