United’s most consistent player Phenias Bamusi has dumped the Green Machine after he did not renew his expired contract with the Harare Giants.

Bamusi’s contract expired on December 31 but did not negotiate a new deal demanding his dues upfront. The dues are reported to be backdating to 2016.

“He has not been attending training so I am not sure if he is still part of us,” said a player within the Makepekepe ranks.

As United showed signs of reluctancy, Taurai Mangwiro recommended the player to his executive and they swiftly moved in to rope in the player.

“We signed Bamusi on a two year deal and is now our player,” said a source close to the deals.

Bamusi blossomed to professional football in 2010 when he played for  Gunners Football Club before joining Manicaland side Buffaloes Football Club two years later.

Bamusi Phenias then joined Harare City Football Club in 2013 where he signed a two year deal under the guidance of Taurai Mangwiro.

In 2015 he joined joined CAPS United where he made a household name for himself as a speedy winger.

A consistent player he was for the Green Machine that he played at least 30 games last season in the Premier Soccer League and all CAF games.
