After completing the signing of Oscar Machapa, Brian Muzondiwa, Dominic Mukandi, Ishmael Wadi and Simba Nhivi, United remain busy on the transfer market and added Brian Chikwenya to their ranks.
Chikwenya, 27, plied his trade at the prophet Magaya bankrolled Yadah FC during the 2017 campaign but fell out of favour with the management amid reports of religious differences.
Chikwenya has since joined the Green Machine.
“Brian signed a three year contract with CAPS United today (yesterday) and is expected to join others at training tomorrow (today),” said a source privy to the deals.
United have also roped in CAF Instructor Nigel Matongorere into their ranks as a replacement for Mark Mathe who dumped the Harare giants in preference of division one side Harare City.
United’s coach, Lloyd Chitembwe, confirmed the development
“I recommended Nelson Matongorere to join us. I did that after some serious considerations and massive consultations. I know what he stands for and what he will bring to the team.
“He has the requisite experience and as someone who is still learning, it is obviously exciting to learn from someone who has been there for years.
“He brings in a wealth of experience in the group and we are all happy to have him in our set-up. Together we will be able to do something good,” Chitembwe said.
Jorum Muchambo and Amon Kambanje were released by the club.
