In a bid to assemble a crop that can challenge for honours this season, former champions CAPS United are reportedly on the verge of bringing back Method Mwanjali and Simba Nhivi, among others, back to the Green Machine.

Nhivi and Mwanjali were plying their trade for Tanzanian outfits Singida FC and Simba SC respectively but are back in the country after falling apart with their Coastal nation outfits.
The duo were an integral part of the championship winning 2016 CAPS United although Mwanjali shipped out mid way.
“The process is still underway but if anything is finalised, I will notify you. Right now the player is preoccupied with personal matters but chances are high, a deal could be sealed anytime,” said the player’s intermediary, George Deda on Monday.
Another source close to the player said the deal is as good as done.
“The player is yet to sign but it is almost certain he will be back at CAPS United this coming season,” said the source.
Club president Farai Jere confirmed Caps United’s interest in Nhivi, saying: “The coach Lloyd Chitembwe is aware of his availability and I am aware there have already been moves for the player. Simba has always been one of our best players and his experience could come in handy, especially after the departure of Chungwa. Unless he has some offers outside the country, we will be happy to have him back.”
Nhivi would be expected to partner new acquisition Brian Muzondiwa who joined the Harare giants from FC Platinum and John Zhuwawu whose South African deal hit a brick wall after Ajax CapeTown and his parent club failed to agree terms.
Other players believed to be on the Makepekepe radar include Oscar Machapa, Kelvin Bulaji, Denis Dauda and Dominic Mukandi.
