Following their romantic stint in the CAF Champions League 2017 Edition, the Green Machine have finally lured a sponsor for their 2018 season, SportBrief can exclusively reveal.

As reported earlier by this publication, NetOne Cellular, a local mobile network operator, will be coming on board to cushion the Makepekepe payroll effective January 1 2018.
The sponsorship package is estimated to be in the region of $400 000 for the whole year ending December 31.
NetOne, through their recently launched One Money product, will cater for the players and technical team wage bill as well as sign of fees for new players and away trips, among other major things.
According to information gathered by Sportbrief, the network operator company will also be sponsoring Dynamos and Highlanders at the same time.
It came not as a surprise that NetOne sponsors Makepekepe as the latter relied on donations from the former during their participation on continental games this year.
In return, Makepekepe will provide advertising platforms for NetOne. They will wear NetOne branded kits and the sponsor’s banners will be ‘scattered’ around the match venue during United’s home games.
“We will be sponsoring Caps United effective next month and it is going to run for a year with a chance of renewing by year end,” said a source who directed further questions to Mr Mutandiro, NetOne acting CEO.
Efforts to get comments from the Caps office were frutile as Cuthbert Chitima is currently out of the country.
