The hamper is sorely bankrolled by CAPS United supporters who saw it worthy to appreciate their team players’contribution through giving the best performer monthly.
For the month of October, John Zhuwawu was voted the best performer and his contribution could not go unnoticed. To put some icing on his already yummy cake, Zhuwawu capped his performance with a late equaliser for CAPS United to scramble for a point against Hwange yesterday.
Fans’representative, Zivanai Mandaza said they look forward to continue rewarding the est performers.
“We voted for John this month. He did well and we thought of appreciating his efforts in the field of play. He (Zhuwawu) even scored the equalising today,” he said.
John Zhuwawu scored the equaliser for Makepekepe just two minutes after Chipangano had surged into the driving seat against the run of play courtesy of Delic Murimba’s 76th minute strike.
After the match, CAPS United assistant coach Fungai Kwashi bemoaned lack of accuracy by his charges.\
“Sometimes things come out that way but had we got an early goal it would have made our lives easier. But the moment you keep your opponents in the game they are bound to have their chances too,” said Kwashi.
