According to Sky Sports, La Liga chiefs are concerned that the record breaking deal to sign the Brazilian for a breath-taking €220m will breach financial fair play rules and therefore have promised not to sanction the deal.
They are expecting PSG to visit their offices this afternoon for clarification regarding the matter.
A spokesman for the office of La Liga president Javier Tebas said:
“We will not accept the money for the liberation clause, the reason is that we have doubts that this money is in accordance with UEFA Financial Fair Play rules.”
Meanwhile Neymar has reportedly arrived at Barcelona’s training ground but has not trained with fellow team-mates.
There are reports in Spain saying that he’s told his Barca team-mates he’s leaving, while one of Neymar’s agents has arrived in Paris, according to his Twitter account.
