Warriors make their COSAFA Cup intentions crystal clear

ZIMBABWE national soccer team started the 16th edition of the COSAFA CASTLE Cup campaign on a high note after thrashing their Mozambican counterparts by four goals to nothing in the first round of Group “B” encounter at the Moruleng Stadium on Monday.

The victory saw the Warriors occupying pole position with a superior goal difference over Madagascar who comfortable dismissed lowly  Seychelles by two goals to nil.

Warriors co-captain for COSAFA team, Ovidy Karuru opened the scoring in the 43 minute before adding another one with a header from a corner in the 64th minute.

Dynamos skipper, Ocean Mushure gave the Warriors their third through a well taken free kick in the 77th minute before second-half substitute Blessing Majarira added gloss to the scoreline in stoppage time to complete the 4-0 drubbing.

Later in the day, Madagascar dismissed lowly Seychelles by two goals to nil through Ardino Raveloarisona and Rinjala Raherinaivo.
