Premier Soccer League Matches Paused

In a bid to ensure maximum concentration to national commitments, the local soccer governing body, PSL, have rescheduled all top flight games to pave way for the Warriors tie against Liberia in a 2019 AFCON Qualifier match.

In a statement, the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League indicated that league games will resume on Tuesday.

“This serves to advise that there will be no Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matches on the weekend of 10/11 June 2017. This is to give room to the international match between Zimbabwe and Liberia to be played on Sunday 11 June 2017 at the National Sports Stadium.

We wish our Warriors the best of luck.

The Castle Lager Premiership matches shall resume on Tuesday 13 June 2017,” read a press release from the PSL.

The break will come as good news to clubs with casualties in their camps as it will more time to heal.

The Zimbabwe senior soccer team will play against visiting Liberia at the National Sports Stadium in Harare on Sunday at 3pm
