Magaya’s Yadah FC Baptized With Minerals In Zvishavane

Despite starting on a high note in the opening games of the 2017 Castle Lager Premier league, Prophet Walter Magaya’s Yadah FC have tasted defeat in 4 successive games. The latest being the 2-0 defeat at the hands of FC Platinum played this afternoon in Zvishavane.

FC Platinum’s latest acquisition, Gift Mbweti opened the scoring account  as early as the 7th minute before Gerald Takwara doubled the lead in 41st minute.

The newly promoted  boys could not find a consolation goal, but only managed to avoid the Bantu Rovers catastrophe.

It ended FC Platinum 2-0 Yadah.

In other matches played today,at Babourfields stadium, Elroy Akbay had to come from behind to secure a victory over premiership returnees, Bantu Rovers.

The Mathembe Ndlovu side took the lead in the 9th minute following a defensive blunder by Bosso that saw them conceding an own goal.

Amahlolanyama were quick to regroup and restored parity 6 minutes later. The score line stood 1-1 up to the breather.

Prince Dube got the winning goal in the 64th minute and it ended Bantu Rovers 1-2 Highlanders.

With a little bit of luck, Tsholotsho FC could have snatched a point at their home away from home in Beitbridge but the football gods turned a blind eye.

Visiting Bulawayo City opened the scoring account 4 minutes before the breather and doubled the lead on the 45th minute.

Tsholotsho replied a few seconds before Half Time.

Nkosilati Moyo could have leveled matters for the home side but he missed the back of the net from the spot.

Full time score: Tsholotsho 1-2 Bulawayo City.

Mkuphali Masiku was again found wanting at Ascot stadium in Gweru when he led the City Fathers to yet another defeat at the hands of the Airmen.

Chapungu’s Chitora scored the solitary goal of the match in the 13th minute and the visitors could not find the reply button. It ended Chapungu 1-0 Harare City.
