A total of 9 matches were spread across the country for the Premier Soccer League Match day 2 thereby producing various outcomes.


This weekend produced a total of 21 goals with 12 of them being scored by home sides, while the remaining 9 were shared amongst the visiting teams.

The match between FC Platinum and Bantu Rovers had the most goals as both sides played out a thrilling encounter in which the Platinum side edged the premiership returnees 3-2, while Hwange FC is the only home team that lost on week 2. (Hwange 0-2 Ngezi)

The fastest goal came from Quality Kangazi of Dynamos who opened the scoring in the opening minute of his side’s 2-2 draw with Triangle at the Gibbo Stadium.

Elsewhere, Ronald Pfumbidzai’s 84th minute winner for Caps United against Harare City at the National Sports stadium took the gong for the most late goal.

Scoring barrenness is slowly catching up with Hwange and Chapungu FC as the two sides are yet to find the back of the net after two weeks of premiership action.

Ngezi Platinum, Shabanie Mine and Yadah FC are keeping it tight at the back, being the only teams yet to concede a goal, while Bantu Rovers have conceded the most with their leaky defence having already shipped in 8 goals and scored two.

To date, former champions Chicken Inn lead the scoring charts, having bagged 6 goals.
