Makepekepe’s weekend outing to Zvishavane for their opening league match against premiership returnees, Shabanie Mine at Maglas stadium has suffered a blow as the club’s key player was involved in a road traffic accident on Tuesday.
Although details are still sketchy, Sportbrief can reveal that Abbas Amidu was traveling from Zvishavane to Harare when the accident occurred.
According to reports, the accident occurred in Norton when a ZUPCO Bus he was traveling in veered off the road and over turned.
However, it is understood that the player sustained minor injuries and is in a stable condition.
