Flame Lily Queens set for JM Busha Woman’s tourney

Correctional services outfit, Flame Lily Queens, are set to participate in the second edition of the JM Busha Woman’s tournament to be played in Alexandra, South Africa, from the 18th to the 19th of March.

The Zimbabwe Women Soccer League (ZWSL) side will partake in the 12-team two- day tourney alongside ten clubs from the host country and one from Swaziland.

JM Busha Investment Group are hosting the R20 000 tournament in partnership with Blue Birds Ladies.

Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) acting General Secretary, Joseph Mamutse, wrote to the tournament organisers, JM Busha investment group, confirming Flame Lily’s participation.

“The Zimbabwe Football Association hereby confirms that Flame Lily Queens will be participating in the JM Busha tournament,” the acting general secretary advised the organisers.

Flame Lily Queens were among the few clubs which were represented at all regional women football meetings held in 2017 and they were also active in the then super league before financial constraints brought it down.

Marjory Nyaumwe and Chido Dzingirai are among the few Mighty Warriors who are in the team to pay in South Africa.
