Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Caps United Head of Marketing Hannah Wright took the time to thank Caps United Legends, who are an affiliate group comprised of some of the best players to have ever played for the club, for their continued support of the team.
“We also last night received from the Caps United Legends in London a great donation Mr Jere brought it all back from London from the Legends”, she said.
The UK based group donated bibs among other equipment for the Harare based outfit.
Hannah added that the Caps United official website would be up and running soon and therefore fans will be able to make purchases of the new kit through the website making Caps the only football club in Zimbabwe to provide such services online.
The club is also partnering with Aurex Holdings, a local jewellery manufacturer that has already begun selling Caps branded rings, badges and pendants among many other jewellery accessories to the Makepekepe faithful at an affordable price.
Aurex Holdings brand ambassador further explained that one of the aims of the partnership is to enhance Caps United’s brand value by offering services that are at par with those of the top football clubs in Europe.
“This concept is there in the European Football clubs for those who follow European soccer, they (the fans) are also using rings to identify themselves as supporters”. She explained
It may still be early days but from what we have gathered so far, Caps United is conducting some shrewd business that may very well see an exponential growth in their brand value as they ambitiously aim to adhere to the world class standards.
