Coveted efforts to tie down the first choice goalkeeper by the Kenny Mubaiwa steered executive have proved fruitless as the player decided to cross the great Limpopo river in search for greener pastures.
The club had so much confidence that the 21 year old would sign a new contract amid reports that they had cleared all outstanding balances owed to Mukuruva.
According to information gathered by Sportbrief from a close source, Mukuruva is set to find new home in CapeTown South Africa.
“Tatenda is wanted by two clubs and he will join either Cape Town City FC or Ajax Cape Town. He has agreed terms with a PSL side and is already on his way,” said the source.
At the time of print, no official comment could be obtained from Dynamos as the official numbers repeatedly went unanswered.
Mukuruva was a face saver for the nation in the just ended AFCON tournament held in Gabon as his heroic performances in all the 3 matches ensured a minimal damage by keeping the score lines ‘respectable.’
The 21 year old goalkeeper is understood to have also attracted the interests of Tanzanian club but has however opted for Mzansi.
Dynamos has already lost midfielder Dominic Mukandi, defender Godknows Murwira and goalkeeper’s coach Gift Muzadzi to Ngezi Platinum Stars while Bret Amidu is now at FC Platinum in Zvishavane.
Former captain Steven Alimenda and forward Rodrick Mutuma were shown the exit door.
