Knowledge Musona fired KV Oostende into the Belgian Cup final with an early 8th-minute goal in a 0-1 victory over rivals KRC Genk on Tuesday 31 January, putting KVO on course of possibly lifting the cup for the first time in the team’s history.

The Zimbabwean talisman, who in an unfortunate circumstances missed the most part of Africa cup of nations 2017 tournament through injury, scored in the early minutes of the game after a good combination play between him and Berrier to advance KVO into the “historic” Croky cup final with a 0-1 (1-2 on aggregate) victory over hosts KRC Genk football club.
KVO drew 1-all with Genk in the first leg at home, setting themselves a tough but worthwhile battle, wining 0-1 away from home to send them in their first major Belgian cup final in the club’s history.
It was the Zimbabwean forward’s first match for the club after his return from the Africa Cup of nations tournament in Gabon, were he also scored a spectacular goal in Zimbabwe’s 4-2 loss to Tunisia in the final group match. He has now scored 10 goals in 19 matches in all competition this season for KVO.
