CAPS united secured a seat in the African Safari after winning the prestigious Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title during the 2016 campaign, collecting a total of 63 points accumulated over 30 games to finish 2 points clear of second placed FC Platinum.
In a bid to strengthen and bolster their squad as they bid to stamp authority in the continental games, Makepekepe have acquired the services of Ronald Chitiyo, Last Sithole, John Zhuwawo and Prosper Chigumba.
Sithole joined United from FC Platinum, while Zhuwawo from division 1 side Gunners FC, with Prosper coming from Makwiro.
Born on the 10th of June in 1992, Ronald Chitiyo started playing football when he was in grade four before joining Douglas Warriors in 2010 to begin his professional carrer.
In 2011, he joined the now defunct Monomotapa Football Club and went on to claim the 2012 Soccer Star of the Year second runner-up. He would attend trials in South Africa at Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town, facilitated but nothing however materialized.
In 2014, he joined Dynamos where he stayed until the end of 2015 before joining the City Fathers in 2016, the team where he plied his trade until the time of joining CAPS United.
It is however understood that United was leading the Malvin Gaki chase but at the time of print, no official comment could be obtained from the Makepekepe office as the office numbers are unavailable.
