The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has advised the 16 teams qualified for Africa Cup of Nations 2017 in Gabon to submit their final squads before the 30th of December 2016.

According to reports gathered by this publication, the African football mother body is expecting all the nations taking part in this year’s tournament to submit their 23 man squad earlier than in previous tournament to avoid delayed planning of this year’s event.
CAF allows each competing nation to submit a total number of 40 member team that includes 23 players and 17 technical staff plus FA officials that will be under the confederation’s expense during the period of the tournament from 14 January to 5 February 2017.
Zimbabwe Warriors coach Kallisto Pasuwa is expected to come out with his final Afcon squad after the final assessment match between the Warriors and Cote d’ivoire on 26 December 2016.
Nations that fail to meet the stipulated deadline date will forfeit a substantial fine and will have their player allocation reduced to 22.
Zimbabwe Warriors will play their first match on the 15th of January 2017 against Algeria’s Desert Foxes at the Stade de Franceville arena in Gabon.
