African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns Arrive in Osaka Japan

African Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns F.C arrived safely in Osaka Japan ahead of their second round fixture on 11 December 2016 against winners of first round encounter between Ocenia Champions Auckland City and Japanese J1- league Champions Kashima Antlers who are scheduled to play on Thursday 8 December 2016.

The CAF Champions became the second team to arrive for the FIFA Club World Cup tournament after OFC Champions league winners Auckland City who arrived on 30 November 2016 for their eighth appearance at the tournament.

“I am really excited to be able to play in a tournament of such great magnitude. We are all focused and ready to fight all the way to the finals to meet Real Madrid,” said Khama Billiat on his arrival in Osaka.

Real Madrid will advance to the finals if they win their semi-final match on 15 December 2016 against the winner of the tie between Asian Champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of Korea Republic and CONCACAF Champions Club America of Mexico.

The Zimbabwean talisman is aiming higher with his South African club, Mamelodi Sundowns and the FIFA Club World Cup stage come as an opportunity for him to showcase his extraordinary talent to the world.

“We are looking forward to fight against the strongest clubs in the world. We are Mamelodi Sundowns, anything is possible,” said Khama

Mamelodi Sundowns will have their first training tonight, 07 December 2016 at Kincho stadium in Osaka.
