Khama Billiat Leaves for FIFA Club World Cup

Khama Billiat and his Mamelodi Sundowns teammates on Monday left for Japan to take part in the much anticipated FIFA Club World Cup 2016 which kicks-off on the 8th of December 2016.

Newly crowned Japanese J-league Champions Kashima Antlers F.C completed the club world cup line-up of teams competing in this year’ 2016 tournament by defeating Urawa Reds 2-1 on 3 December 2016.

Mamelodi Sundowns will kick-start their maiden campaign in the world’s biggest club competition on 11 December 2016 in Osaka where they will meet the winner between New Zealand’s Auckland City and Japanese’s Kashima Antlers who are scheduled to clash in the first round on 8th December 2016.

The African Champions will play South American Champions, Atlético Nacional F.C if they win their first match and may progress to the finals to meet probable finalist, Real Madrid of Spain if they fight past Colombian giants Atlético Nacional on 14 December 2016.

Here are all seven teams competing in FIFA Club World Cup 2016:

Mamelodi Sundowns F.C( South Africa), Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors F.C(Japan), Kashima Antlers F.C(Japan), Real Madrid F.C(Spain), Club America F.C( Mexico), Auckland City F.C(New Zealand), Atlético Nacional F.C( Colombia).
