Former Dynamos coach Paulo Jorge Silva signed a contract with MTN-FAZ Super League side ‘Mighty’ Mufulira Wanderers of Zambia. The Portuguese national who was axed from Harare giants in May has found a new home in Zambia after agreeing a two year contract with ‘Mighty’ Mufulira Wanderer, Sportbrief has learnt.
Wanderers secretary Goodwell Mateyo, who confirmed the development recently, said the club believes Silva has the right credentials to steer the team to glory.
Mateyo said the other members on the technical bench will remain unchanged as they will work as backroom staff for the new head coach.
Silva joins Mufulira giants who have struggled this season after head coach Manfred Chabinga quit on them.
Silva has a huge task of steering Wanderers who are lying on 12 position just one point from the relegation zone with 18 points from 16 games.
Paulo Silva was fired at Dynamos following a string of poor results and was replaced by then assistant Lloyd Mutasa who has since revived the club.
