Sportbrief, the leading online sports website in Zimbabwe, conducted an online voting with the Caps United gaffer polling 65% votes while Mapeza came second with 34%.
Former Dynamos and Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa was third with 1%.

CAPS United have undergone a revolution since Chitembwe took over as coach at the tail end of the season last term. The Green Machine have had an explosive start to the campaign this term which has seen them losing just once against How Mine in eight starts. Caps lost 2 : 1 to the Kaindu led side, but this has not affected Chitembwe’s nomination as the coach of the Month.

Fans argued that while Mapeza is doing well at FC Platinum, its Chitembwe who deserves to be honoured as he took over the reigns at Caps United at a time the team was not performing well. Chitembwe has completely changed the complexion of the Harare giants, turning them from just being a middle table team to real tittle contenders.

They are in third position on the log with 17 points three behind leaders FC Platinum having won five including the Harare derby against eternal rivals Dynamos and drawn two.

Highlanders are in second place on the log with the same number of points because of a superior goal difference.

Interestingly, Mapeza whose side remains unbeaten and enjoy top spot with 20 points having won six and drawn two was overshadowed by Chitembwe. Chidzambwa’s ZPC Kariba are in fourth position on the log with 15 points. They won four, drawn three and lost one.
