Ahead of their African Safari Clash with Bulawayo side, Chicken Inn, Masandawana secured another convincing win away to the Free State Stars in a Premier Soccer League match played at James Motlatsi Stadium this afternoon to ensure they maintain the 5 point gap lead in the title race
Sundowns came back from a goal down to demolish Free State Stars 5-2 in the Absa Premiership on Sunday to ensure they remain the log leaders.
First clear chance was seen only two minutes into the clash after Danny Venter produced a thunderous left-footed strike after Mrisho Ngasa had crafted some good dribbling before setting it up for the former.
In the 13th minute the visitors took a quick free-kick, catching Stars fast asleep to give Khama Billiat a chance, but his effort was too weak to cause any harm to the home side, and was easily saved out.
In the 42nd minute, Tebogo Langerman unleashed a fine cross that Hlompho Kekana connected to very well, instantly finding the target but Stars goalie blocked it. The rebound found Wayne Arendse in position to slot it beyond the reach of Diakite, in goals for the home side, to level the matters.

Only four minutes later Mamelodi Sundowns were two goals clear after Langerman produced a timely cross from the left, to which Castro wasted no chance but only tapped it in to make it 3-1 on the score board.
Pitso Mosimane’s men were three goals ahead in the 76th minute. Modise attacked down the right channel before his cross bounced off Diakite and fell for high flying Billiat to place it at the back of the net, registering his name on the scoresheet.
In the 88th minute, Diakite was further victimized after to Mogakolodi Ngele fried his markers leaving them for dead before unleashing a low shot beating the home team’s goal minder all systems out to find the back of the net, making it 5 for the visitors.
Stars found a consolation goal in stoppage time when Venter made a good run down the left before crossing for Hendrik Somaeb to finish.

Meanwhile, the Brazillians will depart Pretoria this week enroute to Bulawayo ahead of their clash with Chicken Inn this weekend in a CAF Champions league match slated for Emagumeni stadium, with the return leg scheduled for Pretoria after a fortnight.
