Dynamos hitman Takesure Chinyama has refuted claims linking him to perennial rivals Highlanders. Chinyama is alleged to have walked out of training this week following a fall out with the newly appointed gaffer, Paulo Jorge Silva. He then went on to miss training.
Chinyama then argued that he was not feeling well on the day in question.
“That day I was not feeling well and that is the reason I didn’t train with the rest of the team,” he said.
Following days of drama, reports from Bulawayo were alluding to the former Orlando Pirates forward’s move to Highlanders.
Contacted to comment on the rumours linking him to Bosso, Chinyama expressed shock.
“Aaah inini kuenda ku Highlanders here vakomana? That will never happen. I actually trained today, come tomorrow (today) you will see me there,” he said.
To cement his allegiance to the Dynamos family, Chinyama said, “I am not going anywhere. I am a Dynamos player.”
Tension between Chinyama and Silva rose when he reported late for training last week. It’s alleged that on Monday Chinyama walked away after his boss condemned his attitude during training before he missed the Tuesday training session.
Dynamos secretary Webster Chikengezha told this publication that he would not comment to a matter originating from social media.
Meanwhile Dynamos will host Zambian outfit Kabwe Warriors on Sunday at Rufaro in their first international friendly as they prepare for the new campaign.
