Play for Mashinkila, Warriors urged

Football analysts have challenged the Warriors to put up a 5-star performance against Guinea in memory of Willard Mashinkila Khumalo who was laid to rest last week.

The battle lines are now drawn for Zimbabwe’s encounter against Guinea at Rufaro stadium on Sunday.

Football analyst Thomas Chuma has challenged the players to remember fallen Warrior, Mawii, when they troop into battle at the ceremonial home of football.

Local fans have on several occasions come under criticism for failing to lift their troops when they are down and analyst Spencer Nyamadzawo has urged supporters to rally behind their team for the entire 90 minutes.

Callisto Pasuwa is expected to start with Washington Arubi in goals with Erick Chipeta and Patson Jaure front runners in the centre back positions.

Costa Nhamoinesu and Hardlife Zvirekwi are expected to be in the right back and left back positions.

Willard Katsande and Danny Phiri are expected to play as defensive midfielders while in attack Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat are set to play down the right and left flanks.

Despite starting as an out and out striker against Malawi Cuthbert Malajila is this time set to play behind Nyasha Mushekwi.
