According to reports from Goal.com, Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has expressed that the club is buoyant of keeping their two experienced players, Itumeleng Khune and Tefu Mashamaite beyond this season.
The two senior Chiefs players, Khune and Mashamaite have less than three months left on their current Amakhosi contracts.
“Negotiations are still ongoing for both players [Mashamaite and Khune]. We are confident that everything will be finalised soon,” Motaung said on SABC1’s TV programme Sports At 10 TV.
“I am confident that Itumeleng will stay with us beyond this season. He is our boy, because we developed him,” he continued.
Motaung made it known that the Naturena side will be beefing up their striking department during the next PSL Transfer Window.
“Definitely, we are not happy with the striking department. However, we need to be careful. You cannot have four players fighting for one position in the team,” he revealed.
“We are still looking for players and we are definitely looking to beef up the striking department,” he concluded.
