Chuba Akpom set to leave Arsenal to sign for Nottingham Forest

Reports from Daily Star says championship teams are scrambling for the signature of a young Gunner, Chuba Akpom.   Bournemouth, Ipswich, Norwich and Derby were all keen to snap the striker up until the end of the season, according to the Mirror.

But Forest have won the race with Arsenal keen on him working with former frontman Dougie Freedman.

Akpom, 19, has made seven substitute appearances for Arsenal’s first team this season.

He signed a new four-year contract to stay at the Emirates in January.

Forest will complete the move before the emergency loan window shuts tomorrow.
